Concepts

Digital Health - a wide range of concepts, including internet-oriented application programs, media, scientific terms, and technologies (Mathews et al., 2019). 

Digital Patient Experience - “the sum of all interactions, affected by a patient’s behavioral determinants, framed by digital technologies, and shaped by organizational culture, that influence patient perceptions across the continuum of care channeling digital health.” (Wang et al., 2022).

User experience

A person’s perceptions and responses that result from the use or anticipated use of a product, system, or service (Jokela et al., 2003).

Patient experience

The sum of all interactions, shaped by an organization’s culture, that influence patient perceptions, across the continuum of care (Wolf PhD & Jason, 2014).

Digital patient experience

The sum of all interactions, affected by a patient’s behavioural determinants, framed by digital technologies, and shaped by organizational culture, that influence patient perceptions across the continuum of care channelling digital health (Wang T, 2022).

Digital health interventions

The use of digital, mobile, and wireless technologies to support the achievement of health objectives (World Health Organization, 2016). It refers to the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) for healthcare, encompassing both mHealth and eHealth (World Health Organization, 2016, 2021).
